Our Veterinarians

Dr. Brian Laing, BSc, DVM.

Member: College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, American Animal Hospital Association, Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. Dr Laing graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1984.Upon graduating he received the K.W. Kennel Club Scholarship for second in small animal medicine and surgery and the P.V.U. Award for small animal medicine, surgery and fluid therapy.

Dr Laing spent two weeks doing a rotation at the Animal Medical Centre, the world's largest hospital for small animals and a leading center for veterinary medicine and clinical advances. (http://www.amcny.org/veterinarians/education/default.htm)

After working for a year in a mixed practice in Paris Ontario, he started Town & Country Animal Hospital with Dr. Weidelich in 1985. Dr Laing has a special interest in surgery including orthopedic surgery. Our additions of a laser surgical unit, an ultasound and piezo dentistry scaler have enabled us to improve the quality of the care we provide to our clients.

Our mission statement "We care for your pet like family" , ensures that we provide the highest quality veterinary care while maintaining a personal caring relationship with our clients and their family pets.

Dr. Laing maintains a busy lifestyle apart from the clinic with his wife Christine, three active athletic kids and " Orion" the  golden retriever,  "Khan" a Himalayan cat, "Tigger" the tabby cat, "Mary" the cockatiel, as well as " Winston" the African Grey Parrot.

Dr. Peter Weidelich, DVM.

Member: College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. Dr Weidelich graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1985. He has been a partner here since he graduated.

Dr Weidelich is active with his church, Springvale Baptist. He has exceptional hearing, and can hear the fish calling him during his off hours from thaw to frost. Peter has 4 children and "Sally" the cat, 2 cockatiels and very patient wife Gisela, who doesn’t like fishing.

Dr. Sal Rocha DVM

Dr Rocha obtained his veterinary degree in Kenya. He then practiced in the United Kingdom before moving to Sault Sainte Marie where is ran own practice for 28 years. After he sold his practice, he moved to Markham where he looks after the swans in the Swan Lake Community . Dr Rocha has a particular interest in dentistry and has completed a companion animal dentistry certificate. We are pleased to have Dr Rocha as part of "our veterinary team".
